After serving in World War II, Nick returned home to the United States to open his first liquor store, Mr. Nick’s, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Many years later, he moved the business to Uptown and renamed the store, Hennepin Lake Liquors.
Nick Junior's son, Phil, has carried the business onto the next phase of ownership. He has transformed Hennepin Lake Liquors into one of the most successful and trustworthy, standalone liquor businesses, in Minneapolis. Phil focuses on highly-rated and premier wines, with great prices.
Raised in the liquor industry, Nick is now at the helm of Hennepin Lake Liquors, concentrating on the liquor side of the business. He’s well versed in the liquor market, bringing in quality, elite and on-trend spirits to customers.
Lacie has been at Hennepin Lake for many years. Stepping into a new managerial role, she’s an integral part of our store and community.
We have given back to our community since the first day we opened our doors. One of our biggest events of the year, is the annual Hennepin and Lake Charity Tasting. This fundraiser has samples from more than 400 varieties of wine, raising money to help support our Uptown neighborhood and community. Supporting local and making a difference is important to us.
