Did you know that Sauvignon Blanc from France is named Pouilly Fumé, Sancerre, and Sauvignon de Touraine. Just like in California it might be called Fumé Blanc thanks to our own Minnesota native Robert Mondovi.
If it wasn’t for Surly we would not have all these cool Taprooms around Minneapolis. The so-called “Surly Bill” passed on May 24, 2011, and scores of new breweries and taprooms bloomed. Click to watch the short film made about this event.
